AirCity Paths DEMO

Imagine you're designing the City of the Future, where aircraft, drones (UAVs), and aerial vehicles like VTOLs must coexist in harmony with nature, birds, and objects along the way. One of the challenges will be generating routes for delivery drones, such as those used by companies to sell and deliver their products, medical drones, for delivering medications or transporting materials required for laboratory analysis, as well as emergency and first response drones.

Use the following map to generate routes for each category of drones that could operate in the city. Choose the city you like best, such as San Antonio, TX, Austin, TX, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY.

Have fun!

Instructions

  1. Choose a Scenario: Select Delivery, Medical, or Emergency to set the style of the corridor you will draw.

  2. Draw Corridors: Use the blue line tool on the left to sketch flight corridors for drones (UAVs) or VTOLs.

  3. Add Geofences: Use the orange polygon or rectangle tool to mark “no-fly zones” (for example, schools, hospitals, or parks).

  4. Place Vertiports: Drop green markers where vehicles can take off and land.

  5. Check Suitability Score: The score updates automatically based on how well your corridors connect to vertiports and avoid geofences.

  6. Export or Share:

    • Click Download GeoJSON to save your plan as a file.

    • Use Copy Share Link to generate a link that reloads your plan instantly.

    • Or copy the text in the GeoJSON box to reuse later.

         7. Load Plans: You can reload a saved file, paste GeoJSON, or use the share link to continue where you left off.

💡 Tip: Try making one corridor for each scenario, add two vertiports, and place a geofence over a sensitive area. Watch how the score changes as you test different ideas.
